Tourist Visa

To ensure your application is accepted, please send us the following documents:

VERY IMPORTANT:  PLEASE NOTE, IF YOU FAIL TO PROVIDE ALL OF THE DOCUMENTS LISTED BELOW AS THEY ARE LISTED, YOUR APPLICATION COULD BE REJECTED, DENIED OR DELAYED. ALSO, THE CHINESE CONSULATE WILL NOT ACCEPT DOUBLE-SIDED DOCUMENTS SO PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOU ARE PRINTING SINGLE SIDED ONLY.

You must print all documents submitted on single-sided pages.  The China Consulate WILL NOT accept double-sided documents.

1. Fully Completed Application Form (One Form Per Person/Applicant)
  • The China Visa Application Form must be typed out completely, printed (single sided pages only), signed, and dated.  If there is no answer for a question or the question does not apply to you, type “N/A” in the space…DO NOT LEAVE BLANK.
  • DO NOT FORGET to sign your application with BLUE or BLACK pen.
  • Hand-written applications will NOT be accepted. You must TYPE your answers in the form provided and have an original signature on the last page.

2. Photograph

One (1) passport style photo taken against an all-white background by a passport photo service.

China Travel Services offers Online Photo Services for your ease and convenience.  If you would like to utilize CTS’ Online Photo Services for a $10 fee, you may select the indicated option on the Visa Order Form.

3. Your Physical Passport

Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months with two blank visa pages.

Note: If you have a valid visa in an expired passport, the Consulate will require you provide both the expired passport and the valid passport along with your application.

4. Clear Copy of Your Passport Information Page

In addition to your actual passport as listed above, you must also provide a LEGIBLE copy of the information page of your current passport.

5. Proof of Residency Documents

A copy (front and back) of the applicant’s driver’s license or other state issued ID must accompany all applications. Those applicants who do not have an approved ID or are under-age may submit a copy of their parent’s driver’s license along with a copy of their birth certificate.

6. Job Description

If you reside within the following states and are currently employed or enrolled in college in the United States, then you must type and complete the Job Description form:

AL, AR, FL, GA, LA, OK, MS, Puerto Rico, and TX

7. Additional Supporting Documents

One of the following documents MUST be provided for a China Tourist Travel visa.

  • A copy of your round-trip airfare reservation (The reservation must list your full name and show both entry and Exit from China) AND hotel reservation.
  • A Tourist Group Invitation Letter issued by an Authorized Tourism Unit.
  • OR an Invitation Letter issued by an Individual.
  • The invitation letter requirements are strict and must be followed as laid out in the sample below.

A copy of the inviter’s legal ID must accompany the letter.  For those inviters that are Chinese Citizens, they must provide a copy of their Chinese ID (front and back required). For those inviters that are not Chinese Citizens, they must provide a clear copy of the information page of their passport and their China Residence permit.

The Embassies/Consulates will randomly check an applicants’ invitation letter by contacting the documented inviting party in China for authentication. Your Visa application could be delayed or denied if false information is provided.

8. China Travel Services Order Form

Click here to apply online for your China visa and follow the steps to fill out the China Travel Services order form.  Upon completion of the order form, you will receive payment and mailing instructions to send your fully completed document package.

After submitting your order, the system will indicate where to mail your materials.
